Counts come from the California Department of Cannabis Control, Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency, Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, New York Office of Cannabis Management, Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division, Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission, Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board, and Maine Office of Cannabis Policy public licence files. We re-crawl them weekly, deduplicate licensees, and drop closed or revoked licences, so the figure reflects cultivators actually operating — not every licence ever issued.
